Top Design Trends in 2021

The new season is a great reason to make and keep resolutions. Been putting off some design or updates in your current home? 2021 is the year to tackle those projects and here are some great trends to get you started.

Perfect Spaces
2020 really made us think about how we use the rooms in our home. As spending more time at home becomes increasingly common, we are seeing rooms dedicated to more than one use. This means that at True North Custom Homes we are creating unique storage and design solutions for every room of your house to truly make every area the perfect space to work and play.

Hidden Hardware
Nothing creates a more seamless look than having hidden hardware on your cabinetry in the kitchen or bathroom. Hidden hardware allows for a very clean and minimal look that can be implemented very easily. One option for hidden hardware is to create a lip or pull out of the same material as the drawers – this creates simple lines without giving up functionality.

Natural Lighting
Natural lighting continues to be one of our favorite top trends for home design and building. One benefit to building your custom home with True North is that we can plan for all of your lighting needs right from the get-go. During our planning stages we can talk about the orientation of your home so that the rooms you use most often will receive the most sunlight.

We understand that not every trend is right for every family, but with True North Custom Homes, the design options are endless as each home is built specifically for your family and lifestyle. Interested in knowing more about our processes and how you can get the home of your dreams? You can read more about our six-step process on our website under the ‘Our Process’ tab or call us at 402-617-6536 to get started with your custom home build today.
