During this meeting we aim to fully understand what you intend to use your new space for and build a dream home that fits you. We use homes built by us in the past and mesh together the good parts to make this house your home. We will even help you locate and select the perfect lot. The location is as important as the finished project and is an important detail not to be overlooked or settled on. There’s no cost, just a rich conversation and an opportunity for you to share your dreams and visions with us!
2.) Architectural Design
We design your custom home with both efficiency and beauty in mind, ensuring a stunning exterior and a well-thought-out layout. Throughout the design phase, you’ll receive both floor plan PDFs and screenshots of a 3D model of your home, giving you a clear vision of the design as it evolves. You’ll also have multiple opportunities to tour the model in meetings, allowing you to explore your future home before the first nail is driven. The design and 3D model are crucial because they ensure that the bids you receive are based on the exact details of your home—right down to specific elements like the number of floating shelves. This level of precision helps eliminate surprises, keeps costs transparent, and ensures that what is built matches your vision perfectly. Once the project goes out to bid, we’ll provide you with a link to high-quality renderings and videos of your home, which you can keep and revisit anytime.

3.) Precision Estimating
We don’t simply ballpark numbers like some other builders. We will go over all factors of the building process, do an in-depth cost analysis, and discuss the project budget in detail. After the final plans and renders are complete, we'll build out our construction specs to send out to our team for firm bids. Taking the time to secure these bids up-front enables us to adopt a fixed-cost model with allowances. Using this model, our bids are often within 1%-2% of what you will spend on your home based on the plans.
We take the time to go over each detail of the home with you, ensuring you understand how your investment is allocated and reducing the likelihood of surprises later on. This way, the client is in control of the costs for their project. Finally, we communicate your roles and responsibilities because you will have choices and decisions to make along the way as well. Remember, we aren’t just your builder, we are your partner in the process.

Once plans are finalized and bids are in, it’s time to get to work! This is where True North shines: strong management and meticulous attention to detail in building your dream home. We oversee every aspect to ensure a timely and complete build. Throughout the process, we keep you informed via our custom app and website, where you can track daily progress with photos, live schedules, and approve selections to stay on schedule and monitor costs. We also meet periodically on-site so you can see progress firsthand. Exceptional communication is central to our approach, ensuring a smooth, seamless build. It’s your dream home, and we aim to exceed every expectation.
6.) Welcome to Your True North
Before move-in day, you'll participate in a blue tape walk as part of our 100 Point Quality Check, guided by your project manager to identify any issues needing attention. We’ll also send you an email outlining essential tasks to complete prior to moving in. On move-in day, you’ll receive a warranty checklist, any appliance manuals, and a personalized gift basket. Your project manager will be available to walk you through your new home and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to ensure a seamless and enjoyable move-in experience, setting the stage for happy memories in your new space.
