True North Custom Homes

When it comes to building your new home with True North Custom Homes, we do our best to make the process as easy for you as possible. In fact, the hardest part should be choosing between all of the high-quality options for your home and figuring out where you should splurge, including the structural elements of your home as well as the kitchen and bathroom!

The first place we recommend splurging on are the structural elements of your new home – the items that either can’t be changed or will cost you even more to change later on down the road. These elements could include:

  • Ceiling height – Taller ceilings provide a greater sense of space and can really open a room up.
  • Windows and doors – It’s important to account for which rooms you want the most natural lighting in and planning for that ahead of time.
  • Garage size – Don’t plan on your current situation and family size. It’s important to consider what might be added down the line. You may be purchasing another car or three, the boat you’ve always wanted and a motorcycle, because, why not?

Another area of your home that’s worth the splurge is your kitchen. Upgrade to granite countertops and invest in a large kitchen island – this will give you plenty of counter space for food prep and an easy family hangout spot. The options for a nice kitchen are endless, though, as we can account for all of your needs during our planning stages. If one pantry isn’t enough, let’s add two. And don’t forget that energy-efficient appliances are typically well-worth the splurge as well.

Showers, soaker tubs and the vanity are all great places to spend a little more on when creating your dream bathroom. A frameless glass shower will make your bathroom feel extra sophisticated as they offer a very clean look and gives the illusion of having an even larger space. A large, freestanding soaker tub can make a statement in any bathroom. Composite materials, including natural stone or even cast iron, can provide a very elegant design. Many overlook spending more on a vanity, but don’t skimp here. You could be opening and closing the drawers multiple times a day – so you’ll want them to hold up. Custom cabinetry can add in that wow factor, as well as incorporate smart storage and a design that ties the whole bathroom together.

Building your custom home can be an exciting, yet stressful, time. There is a plethora of options to consider and decisions to be made. True North Custom Homes has redefined the process to ensure that you will always a team on your side and to help give you the home of your dreams.
