Discovery

During our initial meeting, we will discuss examples of luxury homes we’ve already completed and ways in which we can create a totally unique and one-of-a-kind home that fits your creative vision. We aim to fully understand the ways you intend to use your new space and build a dream home that fits you perfectly all while keeping in mind that no two True North customers or homes are the same.

We don’t simply ballpark numbers like some other builders. We will go over all factors of the building process, do an in-depth cost analysis, and discuss the project budget in detail. We will even help you locate and select the perfect lot. The location is as important as the finished project and is an important detail not to be overlooked or settled on. Finally, we connect all the dots of your project and provide answers to any questions you may have.

Design Process

At this point in the process, your dream home is on its way to becoming a reality! As soon as you choose True North Custom Homes to create your new dream home, we launch into action. We’ll meet one-on-one with you to determine every aspect of the build, from layout to materials and even decor options.

During the design process, we will pay close attention to every intricate detail including your style preferences, your ultimate goals, and visions along with an estimate of how long to expect your project to be completed. We also take the time and listen carefully to your exact vision of your future dream home and offer suggestions to help inspire you.

Next, we collaborate with Virtuactive to design your floor plan. Through this process, you benefit from two areas of expertise. Virtuactive, who designs hundreds of homes a year paired with True North’s contracting and building mastery. You’ll be provided with interior and exterior renderings along with 3D models, so you receive the clearest possible view of your future dream home.

Finally, we communicate your roles and responsibilities because you will have choices and decisions to make along the way as well. Remember, we aren’t just your builder, we are your partner in the process.

Build Process

Once the plans are finalized and created, and the bids are in, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work! True North has a long-time working relationship with the best homebuilding craftspeople in the Lincoln area, and we handpick those who best fit your project. This is where True North really shines; strong management skills along with an excellent focus on each and every one of the many details that go into building your dream home.

We deliver our professionalism to you, and every customer, where we oversee and manage every aspect of the build to ensure a timely and comprehensive conclusion. We even partner with talented professional designers to help you coordinate the finishing touches in a timely and stress-free manner.

Throughout the entire building process, we keep you in the loop by way of our customized smartphone app and website. You’ll be able to actively track the day-to-day progress through photo updates and live schedules. You’ll also be able to easily approve and confirm selections, keeping your project on schedule and stay up to date on costs throughout the process! True North customers don’t experience surprise costs at closing like you may have experienced with other builders.

We also make a point to periodically meet with you in person on the job site so you can see firsthand how the progress on your home is coming along.
